Comments Sea Saba is really well run, safety conscious, and has a friendly helpful staff. Some trips had only 6-8 experienced divers, and on a couple of days they added a large school group for a full tight boat, but always extremely well organized, with enough dive guides to separate experience levels properly. Large variety of dive site architecture and currents ranged from the absolutely beautiful and fairly calm Tent Bay area (multiple sites) to the wild and current-skill-demanding Diamond Rock and Man O' War Shoals.

Ladders Labyrinth showed some brown algae growth, while other sites were healthier. Tent Reef/Tent Wall/Tent Deep- my dive log notes "awesome! beautiful! wonderful!" Thousands of garden eels, massive male loggerhead, underhangs of coral beauty color with mini-schools, enchanting swim-thrus, jacks, minis, tarpon . . .

Diamond Rock had a 2ft lobster eating a 1ft starfish. . I've never seen anything like that! I followed at Hot Springs a 2ft lobster freewalking 100ft over the top of the reef during the day.

Hole in the Corner had a "big architecture feel" to it, with massive surge waves crashing into the rocky shore 50ft above us, rivers of creole wrasse, groups of margates and blue triggers, chromi neighborhoods, and a big nurse shark . . . great topography.

Saba Island itself is fun to visit, with excellent restaurants and JULIANA'S HOTEL IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, with great food, great service, and a great view from it's high perch.

Statia, btw, is a 1 hour ferry ride away. Combine the two islands together for an extra variety trip!

UW Photo Comments I don't UWP, so I didn't pay much attention to this, other than noting a large bin of water on the boat for camera soak.
