Comments This was our second trip to the Solomons in about 20 years. The diving was fine, over the top but lots of variety and some small things. Pelagics were not too common and not too many unusual small critters. However the dive boat was comfortable, the staff was incredible and the cruise directors very knowledgeable and directed to make sure we had the best trip possible. We had the great opportunity to go on several village trips, especially to look at and purchase local wood carvings, which was quite special. We also arrived several days early to enjoy Honiara. There are several good hotels in Honiara, a good Indian restaurant, a wonderful cafe for breakfast and lunch and the hotels also had good restaurants as well. If you have a chance, arrange to take tours of the island to see the impact of World War II in this history. There's an amazing amount of history and it's not to be missed (we also did a dive or two in an area with plenty of surplus equipment dumped after the war).
