Comments Uepi Island Resort was outstanding. Sharks on every dive.Lionfish, pipefish, unusual nudibranchs like the electric swallowtail sea slug, cuttlefish, fire dart fish, spottail dart fish, eagle ray, titon triggerfish, and the usual tropical So. Pacific fish and critters. The shore dive in front of the resort was loaded with walls of fish and at least 20 sharks at all times. On snorkel we found Manta rays feeding in the lagoon. The resort arranged a village visit (a must do experience). The island men are magnificant wood carvers and presented their work for sale one morning. Everything about the resort was magical, the owners ,Grant and his wife, are most gracious, the food was superb, the local people provided a great evening of music and dance, and a great touch was offered to bring lunch to your private bungalow every day.Our ocean bungalows were on a palm lined sand beach facing a quite lagoon-a dreamy spot indeed- and the diving was great. One day we were taken to dive a sinkhole(100ft) , then a great shallow reef,a private beach lunch,a dive on a wreck(80ft) , and 2 plane wrecks in shallow water loaded with critters - all in one unusual day of adventure.
