Comments We flew into St Marteen from Miami on American and were met at the airport and 45 minutes later dropped at the pier and met by the crew. My wife and I have been on the T&C Explorer three times and the T&C Aggressor twice, as well as the Agressor in Belize twice, in Cayman once, Utila once. On the Odessey in Truk once - so we know live-a-aboards. The CEX-II needs work, our cabin was the smallest we have encountered. Except for the first evening and last evening, the only place we had AC was in our rooms so meal times were a bit sweaty. The food was not to the quality we were accustomed to on other dive yachts. All of our dives involved a 4 foot giant stride from the port side for some unknown reason, even though they had a good dive platform. Guessed it was because of currents and it shortened the amount of time on the tag line getting to the mooring line. Nitrox was $150 for the week per person and that plus other fees ($230 park, $160 fuel, etc came to $1232 additional including the $500 tip we left (yes low for two divers) but with all of the fees and less than par food quality we felt we had paid enough. One DM was stopped from his giant stride because he didn't have his fins with him (another diver did that twice). Staff did stop the young lady ready to jump in that didn't have her regulator attached to the tank, as I had once before in the trip as she was getting into her kit. I also stopped a lady diving EAN32 at 125 feet that was on a descent with no dive buddy. On the plus side, the crew and captain were the best and accommodated every request. It was a good trip. Disappointing was being made to leave the boat at 9am on the last morning and told a restaurant within a 1/2 mile walk would be a good place to get a breakfast and the cigar bar next door had AC and wifi. Problem is they didn't tell us those places didn't open until 11 and we had no place to go in the heat for two hours. We were told the airport only had limited space and AC (got there at 2pm and that simply wasn't the case). St Kitts had better diving than Saba. The USN Hospital Ship Comfort was in harbor at St Kitts delivering medical services to the island, complete with Navy band. The camera table was large with towels and air hose, as well as sufficient charging systems and camera only buckets etc. Captain James is the best and dido for his crew. For all of my efforts in helping others to stay safe I was awarded "Best Dive Buddy" certificate at the end as awards were handed out.
