Comments We love St. Lucia, as it is very similar to Dominica underwater-as it is volcanic and easy diving. We had dove with Dive Fair Helen in the past when we would arrange with them from a cruise ship. We took a taxi from the airport to the landing, and then a quick ferry ride across to the resort. Andre is a friendly marine environmentalist, and during covid times- his son was the divemaster. We like it here as it is a short trip to the south dive sites. The dives are about an hour- we did 2 tanks in the morning. The dive boat is covered, has a head and fresh water, and it is a giant stride into the water. There is a dedicated rinse tank for cameras. The office is right at Marigot Bay resort, and the boat pulls right up to the pier. They kept our equipment with them until we left. We saw all the usual reef fish here along with octopus, frogfish- free swimming morays. We find the best diving is to the south-the pitons. The topography is beautiful with many swim thrus. Between dives we had delicious full meals in individual boxes. Before covid times dishes of pasta, salads, breads would be laid out for lunch. There were 2 other divers on 2 days -the rest we were the only ones diving. We had arranged to pay for a 3rd spot if there were no other divers. The accommodations were very nice with a porch overlooking the bay. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only time we wore masks was going into the office. There was only one other person at the Resort while we were there- so the pool was empty, and we were pretty much alone. They didn't open for breakfast- but they did for dinner- as locals would come. I'm sure it will be much livelier the next time we come.
