Comments Anse Chastanet & SCUBA St. Lucia have been reviewed here many times. We had a to totally stress-free visit escaping for some Thanksgiving Caribbean SCUBA diving. The hotel was lovely with the only negative being the lack of a pool. (That is unless you stay at the pricey but truly spectacular Jade Mountain where every room has their own.) The diving is extremely easy with a large dive staff accommodating all needs, especially those of the rusty, elderly and neophytes. All dives sites are a very short boat ride from the on-property dive operation. There is a lack of dive site variety, however, and repetition of sites caused me to pass on some afternoon dives. Our minor equipment and medical issues were swiftly and happily addressed by the dive staff. Dives are scheduled daily at 0830, 1030 & 1400 hours with night (shore only) dives on Mondays & Wednesdays. The wreck dive leaves at 0930 on Fridays only for 2 mundane dives. We were able to employ our PADI Lionfish Containment certification and then enjoy the fruits of our labor well prepared 3 ways by the hotel's chef. The hotel's staff, service, accommodations and meals were at the top-end of the Caribbean spectrum. While St. Lucia has many attractions, our visit was so nice and easy that we never left the property.
