Comments Joined Blue Green Expedition (BlueGreenExpeditions.com) to one of the most beautiful resorts in the Caribbean, Anse Chastanet. This one of a kind hotel in St. Lucia is part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. The resort is set up for both beach and boat dives. The reef's remarkable ecosystem offers an amazing profusion of unusual tropical marine life. Anse Chastanet Reef which is home to more than 150 different species of fish makes for an amazing dive day or night. In the shallow areas be sure to keep your eyes open for peacock flounders, octopus, needle fish and turtles. Or drop down a little deeper over dense coral growth to see puffers, moray eels, parrot fish, lobsters and even sea horses. A unique dive site for all abilities and especially good for macro photography. My wife & I went 3 days earlier than our dive group, Blue Green Expeditions. We hiked, snorkeled and sailed. The time together allowed us appreciate the moments and got us into a Island Time mellow attitude. The resort price was well worth the expense and the dive experience was great. Our upgraded suite had a fabulous views of the Pitons thru the missing fourth wall ;) Tree frogs delighted Us as well as the many birds and flowers. We even found a hummingbird in her nest on the way to our room! Entertainment, Food & drinks were first rate in the 3 resorts restaurants. We even went up to Jade mountain (adjacent resort) for drinks and a gorgeous sunset. Resort still had quarantine flag up so beachs had a more private feel. Scuba St Lucia was first class onshore facilities and on water dive boats. Seemed that there was a scuba classes going on many times a day
Scuba diving offered healthy reefs with no evidence of run off from island resorts and no debris or trash in the water. Little critters were everywhere so our photographer were in their glory. I found and took a couple acceptable picts with my GoPro. Saw more critters on house reef snorkeling other than Indonesia. 60 squid at one time, flying Gunards, turtles, coral & decorated crabs +. Huge Eagle rays were viewed on a couple of dives. Escorted island excursions were first class
