Comments My 32nd trip to SVG. my site [gregschubert.smugmug.com link] illustrates that the "critter diving in SVG saves travel to the far Pacific at a much lower cost. Check out Ray Haberman's smugmug site also. I stay at Beachcombers Best IMHO option if financially capable. Paradise Beach is cheaper and has apartment--full kitchen. Both are short walking distance to Dive St. Vincent. Staff at Beachcombers always attentive to their guests--the grounds are a floral joy. Calvin Richards and DJ the dive masters at Dive St Vincent have dove these waters for several decades--they see and find the stuff you are there for. Ray Haberman, American ex-pat turns rocks and is the flatworm and nuni expert there. The boat and store are no nonsense operations--not classy but they do the job. Expect frogfish, Seahorses, Magnificent Urchins, in shallow water dives every time. The reefs are excellent BUT this is critter diving. Striated Frogfish can be found w/o spending more than several dives in locating them. No nitrox. Camera wash well is small but adequate. Twin 200's power the boat--dive sites range from 5 - 25 minutes from dive shop.
Eating establishments are within a short walking distance of the dive shop. If money is of no concern and you can exist w/o TV Young Island is just across the "Cut" and the food is to die for. Units are nice. Other eating places: The Bungalow, Mango's, Beachcombers, Grandview Inn--superb Bolognese! Blue Lagoon has new rooms and dining with cakes and sandwiches to also die for.

My personal recommendation is unit 39 at Beachcombers.
