Comments I am a frequent visitor to the island and very little changes down here. For information about the diving, see my previous reports. The biggest change is the new airport which was completed 5 years ago to accommodate direct flights from the States. During the pandemic, the island mandated a 2. week quarantine in a hotel which greatly discouraged travel to the island. However restrictions were gradually lifted and currently there are no COVID related restrictions.

St Vincent is a good spot for macro photographers since there are lots of small fish and critters to be found. The dive guides move at a very slow pace so its easier to find hidden animals. Most diving is relatively shallow (less than 60 feet) If you are looking for sharks and high voltage diving, this is not the place for you. I am a macro photographer and of all the places I have traveled, I come home with the best photos from St Vincent.
