Comments Our very pleasurable diving experience in St Vincent can be reduced to two very important facts: The dive sites are pristine and the service provided by Indigo Dive was impeccable.
St Vincent is a volcanic island and quite beautiful. The steep and rocky topography continues below the surface of the ocean creating dramatic and stunning settings for plants, coral and critters to set up residence. The effect is subtle, but pleasingly different. Instead of coral growing on coral, etc. each entity must claim a spot among the boulders and make it home. The result is a bright and uncluttered environment where everything seems to have its own space and its almost impossible to miss anything.
While there are two dive operations on the island, there are not a lot of divers. It's been a long time since I spent day after day on the water and never saw another dive boat and/or had our boat and staff all to ourselves. Indigo Dive is all about Kay Wilson. She tries very hard to ensure that every customer leaves happy and satisfied. That's no small task, but she seems to manage quite well. I look forward to seeing her again.
