Comments Great shoreside operation with plenty of warnings of how little there is to see near Pattaya, which makes it a great place to focus on training...the warmings were spot on. The nearer islands, a 30-45 min boat trip from the beach in a high-speed boat, are fished out, trashed out and dived out. Most of the coral is dead and covered with algae, fish are small and few in number, though we spotted a dozen or so small morrays in on small patch of rock. Attention to safety and documentation was too good for my own comfort: I wasn't allowed on a wreck dive because I have only a NAUI open water cert despite several hundred dives in my log, including other wrecks in Thai waters, but it was 100% by the book. Food was downright scarce, small Subway sandwiches, though there was plenty of fresh pineapple waiting between dives. I'd go back for advanced training based on the way the operation is run, but the diving itself has all the excitement of a cloudy swimming pool.
