Comments We dove with Dive Provo for six consecutive days. All dives were done from a boat. Rides to the sites took about an hour each day. We were picked up at 8:00am and returned to our hotel about 3:00PM each day. Pick up was always on time promptly.

The reefs were in reasonably good condition considering the hurricane that recently passed. Reefs started at about 40’ and dropped over the wall to a depth alleged to be up to 6000’. I think I will trust that assessment. Saw turtles, octopi, lots of sharks; mostly reef sharks but did see one lemon shark, crabs, huge Nassau groupers, there were plenty of lobster and southern sting rays, a few eagle rays, and one rough tail ray. We heard but did not see the whales.

The dive masters always put out a marker on the sand near the wall and boat to make finding the boat simple upon return The dive masters would return to the boat in about 40 minutes and then look for things around the boat. If diving your own profile, you needed to be back on the boat in 60 minutes. Following the local dive masters was not required.

The dive masters on the boat were more than accommodating. You could follow them or dive your own profile with a buddy. Lunch was supplied on the boat each day consisting of sandwiches and a sweet bread. Lemonaide, and water was bountiful. At day’s end the dive masters cleaned and stored your equipment. At the beginning of the day they set up your gear and changed tanks for you if you wished. All of them were very friendly and fun. It was obvious that they enjoyed their jobs. It was easy to make friends with each of them.

If we return to Turks and Caicos, we will definitely use Dive Provo again.

UW Photo Comments Had tank on boat for cameras. Clearly specified not using tank for anything else, especially mask rinsing. Reason given is that some mask defogs may affect camera seals.
