We found the diving in Providenciales to more than meet our expectations! Because of rougher water in the dives near Grace Bay, we got to do most of our dives at the deeper walls of West Caicos and French Key as well as Northwest Point. We were more than surprised at the number of sharks. We saw more than 5 sharks every dive and they were mostly Reef Sharks but many of the divers saw one Hammerhead shark. The Reef were still recovering from hurricanes last year but there were many healthy barrel sponges. I was happy with the variety of Reef fish and saw some fish I haven’t seen in years such as Indigo Blue Hamlet and was treated to a Hogfish turning from white to striped to brown in front of me! The dive staff was awesome and encouraged divers to dive their own profile. The walls were dramatic and very exciting with the sharks, spotted Eagle Ray and large groupers swimming by. One large grouper became very friendly and came up to the divers and didn’t mind being petted. He posed with divers enjoying the attention! We will definitely return!

UW Photo Comments [None]The reefs are a little deeper usually starting at 45 ft to 65ft. It is harder to get well lit pictures because of depth and I probably should have used brighter flash setting for the trip. I did get many good pictures though.
