Comments 1. Thorough boat briefing every morning with roll call before and after every dive.
2. Bar suspended beneath the boat at 15 feet for safety stop. Captain also suggested the mooring line and descent line as alternative safety stops. A functioning regulator was suspended at 15 feet by a long hose attached to dive tank.
3. Employees were courteous and professional. They changed my gear from one tank to the second tank every day I went diving. The shop takes care of rinsing your gear every day, even on your last day. However, you must keep your in gear in a mesh bag if you want the shop to rinse it for you. They even recovered my dive shirt when I forgot that I left it on the bus on the last day of diving. Your gear is stored by the shop for your entire stay.
4. The Boats were always large and crowded. As many as 8 divers in the water with one dive master. A dive flag is placed on the wall near the stern of the boat. You swim into the current,if any, and turn around at 1,500 psi. I preferred following the dive master.
5. I liked Grace Bay better than West Caicos or Northwest Point. I dived all three areas. I highly recommend Boat Cove in Grace Bay, I saw seven sharks and one turtle at this site.
6. The shop requires dive computers. The shop also recommends Nitrox for the second dive. When I chose air for my second dive I found my tank to have about 2-300 more psi than I got when I selected Nitrox. Also, I experienced some difficulty in switching my computer from air to Nitrox. This was my error. I did not see the value of using Nitrox for the second dive. My personal preference is to stick with one or the other mixture for the entire trip.
7. Provo Divers made every effort to get us to different dive sites every day.
8. There is a rinse tank for cameras, but none for masks.
9. The shop sends a bus to your hotel at 8:00 a.m. to go to the shop. Taxis are very expensive, they charge by the person not by the distance. Rent a car, I wish I had.
