Comments Ocean Vibes provided easy-going, laid back diving with small groups when I was there in late November. Van pick up at hotels on Grace Bay, Providenciales, then short drive to south side of island (usually), followed by long, pleasant trip (45 minutes or so) to West Caicos where the diving was very nice. Lots of reef sharks, good array of reef fish and some pelagics. Heard humpback whale repeatedly on one dive. Nice wall a short swim from where we moored over a roughly 50 foot bottom of beautiful patch reef and sand with lots of large barrel sponges. With only 3 divers one day they took us off of Grace Bay, which is a very short trip from north side of island- offshore from hotel area, outside of reef. Visibility here is much less than off West Caicos, in fact was quite poor on one dive, but still lots of fish and several turtles, so not horrible diving. You didn't come here to dive this area though, so push for West Caicos if possible. Ocean Vibes did take just 3 divers over to West Caicos one day, so thanks to them for that. Crew very friendly, helpful, professional, but don't baby you or hover too closely. If you know what you are doing, they treat you as you'd like, but give help to those who need it. Easy-going about groups staying loosely together and coming up when we wanted, rather than herding and tight adherence to schedule. None of that constantly banging on the tank crap if you wander off a short distance (I hate that.) Only dived (no, it isn't "dove") with them three days, so limited experience, but really liked what I saw and I'm pretty particular. Boat was great. Sandwich, snack on boat between dives- adequate. Plenty of beverages. As far as I know, they do a two tank dive (which usually takes up much of the day - P/U 8 AM, back around 2:30 for West Caicos trip) but didn't appear to be any night diving or shore dives. Weather and water temp were fantastic - great time of year to go, wasn't crowded. Thanks to Curtis, Andrae, and Blue!
