I scheduled this trip to coincide with a friend's birthday. She didn't go as she wasn't vaccinated. All had to be vaccinated to get to Turks and Caicos and that is fine with me. The final count of divers was 7,ranging from basic open water to two with multiple certifications, including trimix. Despite not knowing each other, we gelled pretty quickly. The resort was one of the nicest I have ever been to. My room (I ended up as a single) had a huge, open plan kitchen, with a washer/dryer, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and all facilities if I had wanted to cook. The resort was recently (July. 2021) acquired the owners of Reef Divers in the Caymans and although lacking an actual dive shop (it's in the future plans), all equipment was available if needed. The food was plentiful and buffet style, with special orders available as well. Plenty of vegetarian options. The diving has not completely recovered from a hurricane, however, there is still much to see, with different formations adding to the typography. Three dives per day, two morning and one afternoon. The water was somewhat choppy, so getting on the boat a little tricky, but anyone I have met from Reef Divers has always been extremely well qualified and these were no different. We happened to be there during humpback whale migration time and not only saw them on the surface, but also in the water - something to behold. Octopus, sharks, turtles, loads of spotted eels, some juvenile. I would not hesitate to return at a later date. |

Closest Airport | South Caicos | Getting There | Flights were from RIC/MIA/PRO/South Caicos. We were stuck both in Miami due to Cancelled/postponed flights. Puddle jumper to South Caicos only runs infrequently so we missed that too! |

UW Photo Comments | There were a few with "large" set ups, I was happy with my TG6. At the moment, no special facilities for photographers. (I hear Little Cayman now does not) |
