Comments My daughter and I went to Salt Cay for nine days. We did our open water dives there and then got to do some fun dives also. Dave was our instructor from Salt Cay Divers. He was professional, patient, and fun. It was so nice to learn with someone you felt safe with and he was just instructing the two of us. Later, Richard, another dive master with Salt Cay Divers went out with us. They were both so good at showing us nurse sharks, sting rays, lion fish, turtles and all kinds of beautiful fish. Also very interesting coral. Heard dolphins and humpbacks during the dives. When we went out whale watching, we saw quite a few humpbacks. Plus we saw some from our deck at the Tradewinds. The island is still putting itself back together after hurricane Ike. But everyone was friendly and helpful. We walked and rode bikes all over the island and got lots of lovely photos and shells. If you like a laid back, friendly, simple place to get away from it all, this is the place for you! Debbie from Salt Cay Divers, Tradewinds, and Coral Reef made it such a pleasant and trouble free vacation. She also makes the best Key Lime Pie which is Dave's favorite food!
