Comments	This was my first dive trip with my thirteen year old grandson who I took to Islamorada in July of 2009 to get certified as a junior open water certified diver. We spent three days with Dive Experience and three days with Cane Bay Divers. Both operations were courteous and professional. Dive Experience took special care with my grandson until he demonstrated after one dive that he had learned his lessons well and could control his buoyancy like a pro. Cane Bay treated him with courtesy and respected his skill level. On every dive we saw the best of St. Croix. Turtles, reef shark, octopus and all the normal critters, including an eight inch seahorse. Butler Bay and the pier at Fredricksted were the highlights of the trip. St. Croix was the perfect spot to introduce a new diver to a great sport. However, I do not promise a seahorse will greet you when you dive at Cane Bay. Then again, with beginner's luck, you never know. I started diving in St. Croix in 1985 and I enjoyed every minute of my dives in 2010 as much as I did in 1985. I plan to return with my new dive buddy to dive the pier at night.
