Comments Exceptionally well-run operation. Valet diving -- they handle gear, rinse, store, etc. Dock is extremely convenient -- right next to shop in downtown Christiansted. Boats comfortable and well set up. Typically there was an instructor with 1-2 students, and a guide for the experienced divers. Students never got in our way. Guides were excellent at finding interesting stuff.
St. Croix has dozens of good dive sights -- reef, wall, pier. At North Star, 3-5 reef sharks shadowed us like big puppies. Not many big clouds of fish, but adult & juvenile spotted drums, triggerfish, big friendly reef squids, seahorses, lobsters, eels, scorpionfish, octopi, frog fish, etc. Barrel sponges at Eagle Ray were the biggest and healthiest I've ever seen.
The Fredricksted pier is a 5-star dive day or night. Excellent viz, tons of soft coral on concrete pilings, great profusion of interesting critters.
