Comments In St, Croix for one day, diving off a cruise ship, we arranged to dive the wall with St. Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventures (SCUBA). Everything about the operation was superb.
When making reservations, they were lightening fast in responding and helped us figure out the best and cheapest transportation from the cruise terminal to Christiansted. Captain Ed sent us all of the paperwork to fill out in advance, so when we arrived at the shop, we had only to show our C-cards, turn in our papers and pay before heading out on the boat. They would not permit us to carry or set up our gear (well, they might have if we insisted). They said we were on vacation and they wanted to do it for us.
We had the luck of arriving on tech diving day. Not being tech divers, we wondered how it would go, as we watched a group load up tanks and tanks of various gasses and the associated tech gear. The answer was it went great. Capt. Ed took us to an awesome spot while the tech guys readied their gear. Then during our interval, Capt. Ed dropped the tech divers in to do their deep thing while we positioned for our second dive. All of the divers surfaced at about the same time!
The captain”s briefing covered all of the safety gear and boat details. Dunks tanks for cameras and mask rinsing were provided. There was a shower for those who wished as well. Fresh water was plentiful and divers were met with a big cup of icewater immediately after the dive. Fresh fruit was served during the surface interval. Beers were on tap after the final dive. The dive master was attentive and led an excellent dive.
The wall off Christiansted provided excellent diving. Lots of variety of reef fish to one side and a back drop of deep blue below and behind. We decided this island is worthy of a longer stay next time. And we would definitely dive with SCUBA again. They provided an excellent experience from start to finish!

UW Photo Comments We were not taking pictures, but were warned away from dunking anything in the camera bucket which generally is a good sign for the photographers. The photographers on board seemed quite happy.
