Poseidon Recalls Its BCDs

The Swedish manufacturer is recalling 300 of its Besea W50 Diving Wings because the inner bladder can break, posing a drowning hazard. Poseidon says it received 15 reports from divers and dive shops of the bladders breaking, but no injuries have been reported. Henrik Borg, sales manager at the main office, told Undercurrent that bladders manufactured from now on will be made out of a new material.

Bladders marked for recall were sold between September 2007 and June 2008, and have the batch number 5445 on a tab located between the “legs” of the inner bladder.
