A January 2009 study in Aviation, Space and Environmental Medicine found that regular divers who had undergone 90 days of physical training evidenced significant reductions in post-dive bubble scores. Interestingly, these scores increased when measured three months after the training ceased. At the least, this reinforces the notion that the physicallyfit diver may be at reduced risk for DCS as compared to the out-of-shape diver.
