It sure looks like it. NOAA predicts 14 to 21 named storms, six to 10 hurricanes, and three to six major hurricanes - of Category 3 strength or more. Tobago, Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao are the only major dive destinations generally thought safe from hurricanes. If you're planning a trip to the Caribbean or the Bahamas anytime through October, you'd better consider trip insurance. And read the fine print because you will be surprised at what's not covered for the Caribbean. |
