Discarded single-use plastic continues to pollute the environment. Steven Kovacs photographed a paper nautilus drifting along on an item of plastic rubbish, in Anilao (Philippines) to become one of the winners in last year's Ocean photography awards. Paper nautilus often hitch a ride on a jellyfish to preserve energy, but this was no jellyfish.
