Comments Aldora divers for 10 days. They offer 120cu and 100cu steel tanks for extra air. We dove 3x a day min and every single time, our small group of divers was asked, and we chose, our own dive sites. Small groups of 6 divers max on hyper fast comfy boats with sun shade. Always on time and our gear came to us on the boat completely ready, nothing ever lost, they kept track of it for us overnight (they just ask you to hold onto your own wetsuit). Every dive lasted 1 hour min cuz our group was experienced, and on a large number of the dives, we were 1 hr 15 min or more. Divemasters Ricardo, Jorge, and Adrian were all mellow and willing to help if needed, but very respectful of divers' experience, they were absolutely NOT dive police (but still safety conscious). Absolutely awesome service from Aldora, just like the first time I dove with them about 7 years ago. Very interesting and friendly co-owner Memo is still there, chit chatting with divers, offering special trips to unique areas if desired, making sure everyone is treated great.

Did a 1 day trip to the Isla Mujeres whale sharks location with cancunwhalesharktours.com. IT WAS STUNNING! There were whale sharks everywhere and captain Sergio was amazing in his ability to drop us into the water right next to these giants so we could snorkel swim right alongside them. Very eco conscious. Rodgrigo the owner (Rodney is his real name, he's from NY) was a total pro.

Presidente Resort is about a 10 min taxi ride south from town. Amazing service and great restaurants on site. Very pretty property with a wonderful beach lagoon and snorkeling areas. Other dive shops are allowed to use their dock to pick you up (we used Aldora as mentioned), or you can use their in house company Scuba Du but they appeared to be very regimented in their ops. My only complaint is that the Presidente tried to force us into a presentation on buying a club membership, immediately upon our arrival, and that was bad enough ("Hi, welcome from your long tiring trip to our hotel now sit down so we can try to force you into a sales pitch . . .," and they were REALLY pushy about it as well, which made us uncomfortable having to say "No" so many times, especially after having spent so much money booking at their luxury resort.
