Comments One of the things I love most about Cozumel is Aldora Divers. I found them 15 years ago on Undercurrents. I trusted them to certify my daughters at then at ages 12 and 10, do first ocean dives with my brother and sister-in-law and kids (ages 12 and 10), and a friend in Jan 2015. This trip Oct 2015 they certified a friend's family with 2 adult daughters, and did a resort course with a fearful 22 year old. I trust these folks!!! They are so patient, reassuring, and encouraging. Alemendra, our dive master, has become a special friend over the years. She took the nervous new divers by the hand underwater, had them look into her eyes, and was able to get them relax and enjoy. Memo, the shop owner, made sure to see us when we checked into the shop, and check in with us on the surface intervals to make sure we were happy. They were able to be extremely flexible with our schedules.

Many of the boat crew has been with Aldora for many years. They are a fun group, extremely helpful and attentive to our every need. This is indeed valet diving! Every day the question was "where would you like to go?" Swim throughs, reef creatures, it was always our choice. Dives were usually 70 minutes long, depending upon air. DM's carry long hoses, so the person with the least air can share to extend the dive.

I will only dive with Aldora when I'm in Cozumel. They have become family.

UW Photo Comments Aldora knows I have a camera rig. The larger boats all have nice large tanks for the cameras. The smaller boats have smaller buckets. The boat crew always handed me the camera once I was in the water.
