Comments Aldora Villa was a wonderful, relaxing and supportive place to spend a week chilling out and diving. Brent was very kind and he not only helped us settle in but he also was available every morning prior to diving to help divers prepare and depart.

Many other reviewers have noted that the Villa provides most rooms with some sort of kitchen facility or refrigerator. It is great to be able to store food and beverages so you can eat or snack at any time if the urge hits. Otherwise the walk into town was great. It took us 15-20 minutes to walk but we love walking when on vacations so this became a welcome part of our day. We also enjoyed having juice and coffee in the room in the morning prior to diving.

Aldora Divers was very very very good. As noted by many others, they provide steel tanks and very generous fills. Oiur dives were all 70 minutes or longer. One of our dives exceeded 90 minutes. In fact, we were down so long, my wife was getting a little chilled. Each of the dive guides assigned to us was attentive and professional. They never had to look after more than 4-5 divers and on a few dives it would be the two of us with a guide. Aldora divers has explored dive sites in the North away from the more heavily trafficked sites. We spent one day Lion-fish hunting in the North and that was a really interesting and different diving experience for us. Afterwards, Aldora organized a lion-fish BBQ at a local restaurant in town. We had never tasted lion fish but we found it sweet and one of the tastiest fish we have ever eaten. To know that hunting and eating lion fish is an essential part of protecting reefs just made the meal tastier.

Anyone planning a trip to Cozume who wants to focus on diving and is less interested in the nightlife or the parties in town should consider giving Aldora a try. We are glad we stayed there and we will be back.
