Greg and Kay, who manage Villa Aldoro, could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The web site answers most of you questions and Greg and Kay were very prompt and helpful in replying to any additional information or requests that I sent them. All the info provided on the web site was completely accurate. Upon arrival at the Villa we were taken downtown to the dive shop for a check in by Kay and then on to a large store which was similar to a combination of a Walmart, a grocery supermarket, and a liquor store. Each day of diving was as promised with 120' steel tanks, multi level dives on computers, small and fast 6 diver max. boats, and wonderful relaxed surface time between dives at a loveley restaurant on a beautiful sandy beach. Greg and Kay are the gourmet food critics on the island and were happy to direct us to the best restaurants. We took them out to dinner one night and they chose a modest restaurant off the beaten track where I experienced on of the more memorable meals of my many trips!! When I managed to get spasms in the muscles of my neck Greg and Kay took me to their own doctor (Wow..only $60 for the visit) and on to a pharmacy to fill the presriptions. With the meds I was completely recovered and found that I could once again raise Dos Equis and tequila to my waiting lips. I can't say enough in praise of the personal care and concern Greg and Kay gave us. |

UW Photo Comments | Great opportunity for wide angle. Difficult to do macro with current and keeping up with the group. Night dive off of resort was very good for Macro. I was shooting video and came back with good footage of all the particular subjects I had gone down for. Only dove 3 of the six days I intended due to muscle spasms in neck, so it could only have gotten better. Large boat had rinse tank for cameras, small boats don't. No dry area on small boats to work on camera gear, but you have an hour, or more, at a restaurant on a beach between dives to take care of problems. |
