Comments	Alex's boat was being serviced so he put us on other boats for our dives. We took a taxi from our resort to the marina and all boats we used, and their customers, were very friendly. We wore masks everywhere we went but took them off when we were on the boat. And the reefs south of Palencar were closed. I was surprised by the health of the reefs we were allowed to dive but they were a little crowded and I wondered about the effectiveness of closing some sites for 3 months, then opening them and closing others. It seems all dive operators will then go to the newly opened sites and overcrowding begins all over again. The Hotel Cozumel Resort has not changed much since Wyndham took it over. Masks were required unless you were at the pool, eating or in your room. The food seemed to be even worse this time. In the buffet line you gave your plate to hotel personnel and pointed to what you wanted, guests could not touch the service utensils. Hotel seemed to be about half filled except for the weekend when a large number of locals had rooms and partied all night. It was nice seeing so many people having fun during covid, however, they were all gathered around the pool and went maskless.
