Comments We had a wonderful time in Cozumel. The island is coming along and one has to admire the work ethic to restore this island to pre storm condition. Our group completed 19 dives during the week and everyone thoroughly enjoyed every minute in the water. You will need a full 3mm wetsuit. Shallow reefs do have the sandy coating that appears to "stick". Up close and personal with the reef produces thousands of tiny fish, worms, egg sacks, jelly fish.....LIFE! Mid depth reefs seem to have the same coating, yet, rejuvenation of the reef is growing above the sand. It was discussed in our group several times the abundance of fish teeming the reef. It was very interesting also that the tides/currents seemed to be changing for spring. The Devil's Throat was a totally different. Palancar Gardens breathtaking. C-53 is a must! Aqua Safari and Hotel Mexicanna are a great combination for Cozumel divers. Excellent service from both. A wonderful breakfast buffet daily in the hotel and superior diving leadership from a well established company. Safety and fun all rolled into one! Many thanks to Scuba Steve's Aquatic Adventures in Tyler, Texas. Class act with a great group of diving enthusiasts. Note: Night diving this trip produced the largest crab and eels I have ever seen in my life! The divemasters were even interested in the upsidedown, under a shelf monster crab and sometimes it takes alot to get those guys going. No, no one had their camera, but we saw it and I do believe in seamonsters....lol

UW Photo Comments Lighting being the issue, the mid depth dives were good for us with the use of a flash. We had members in our group that geared up with the camera on every dive and got fantastic pictures. For me, I geared up the last two days and got great shots just not as many to choose from as the others....lol The C-53 Wreck had thousands of varied size and color starfish migrating on the white sand............Once in a lifetime shot...BEAUTIFUL!
