Comments Dive was booked through activity desk at Moon Palace. Transportation to AquaWorld office in Cancun was additional $10. Boat probably holds up to 20 divers but since this was a night dive there were only 6 with crew of three, dive leader, deck assistant and captain.

Crew was very helpful in setting up rigs and helping divers put them on. They even helped carry the rig if you had to walk wearing it more than a few feet.

Dive leader carefully explained dive plan and underwater signal conventions for using lights after dark. There was a strong current but the fact that everyone had good lights (supplied by boat) made it easy to keep together. It is probably easier to stay together after dark than it is on a daylight dive.

Boat was prompt with pickup and crew was very helpful with boarding in the light chop, again helping with the weight of the rig while climbing the ladder and immediately taking it from the diver. The crew did the tank change between dives and did a careful washdown after the second dive.

Only possible issue was a fairly short surface interval, but the boat was rocking and sea sickness would have been an issue. Even so, the profile was well within published PADI dive guidelines.
