Comments Communication before arriving was excellent thanks to Desire Sanroman. We knew from Desire, that "Careyitos" is a small operation, they request payment with Travelers checks, pesos or cash. Credit cards & personal checks can not be accepted."Careyitos" has a nice roomy boat with head, radio & oxygen on board. Nice sundeck & ample shade below. There was no camera table or rinse tank for cameras, but if requested,I'm confident they would have provided it. No one on this trip was doing photography. They limit divers to 14, but we never had that many.Dives last 75 mins. or 500psi whichever comes first!! Dives are always led,by Ricardo, the owner, or Divemaster,Tony. If Ricardo led the dive, Tony was in the water too,at the rear, making sure everyone was ok. They also had a safety swimmer on the surface with a safety sausage to pinpoint where the group was for the boat to pick you up. Captain Victor was recently hired by "Careyitos", but he did an excellent job of watching for us and getting to us quickly. We had nice long surface intervals, about an 1 1/2 hours long or more, during which time we feasted on a fabulous lunch, prepared by crew members,Roger & Aaron. Sandwiches, salsa, chips, fresh fruit, sodas and plenty of purified water. Their Guacamole is to die for! Roger & Aaron change over tanks, & they would break down gear after last dive. They were very attentive but not overbearing. Then after lunch/surface interval, another fabulous 75 minute dive. Tony, our divemaster, was great fun & very knowledgeable about underwater life. He found 3 different types of shrimp we had never seen before. He gave great breifings & was helpful in teaching breathing techniques to help extend bottom time. Since "Careyitos" has no "shop", there is no place to rinse or store your gear, so we had to rinse it at our hotel. I would HIGHLY recommend Careyitos for advanced divers. careyitos@cozumel.com.mx
