Comments Pablo and his crew at Casa Del Buceo were one of the friendliest, most accomodating and helpful operations that we have been with. After each days dives the crew thouroughly rinsed and cared for our gear. They even had a fresh water shower to rinse us off. Our stuff was then hung up to dry over night and we felt very comfortable leaving it in their capable hands. If we needed a ride somewhere, they volunteered to take us where we needed to go. Small groups seem to be the norm with these guys and we only had one other diver, on one day, join us the whole week. Enrique was wonderful as the Dive Master. He kept an eye on us, but also let us explore as well. He has a good eye for finding things we might have missed and he is also a fantastic photographer. Several times he used our camera to capture some out of this world close-ups of turtles, rays and a scorpionfish or two. One day he brought his own camera along (it was the only day we went deeper, 80ft to a wreck) and got some great pictures and an unbelievable video of some Eagle Rays that hung around for quite a while.
With so many areas reporting dead or dying corals, we were excited to see so much new growth and even new colonies starting. The fish life was abundant, with many large schools of grunts, tangs, wrasse and several examples each of the usual loners such as spotted drum, highhat, hogfish, etc. We had extended visits with sea turtes and rays each day. They just seemed to pose for the camera.
All in all we couldn't have had a better time. We made friends with Casa Del Buceo and will definitely use them again.
Villas Coco Paraiso was a clean and quiet place to hang our hats. You definitely need a scooter or golf cart ince it is quite a hike into town from there. We would stay there again also.
