Comments Am I the only guy who thinks the diving currently in Cozumel stinks? Or are you guys a bunch of newbies who think the diving there is just THE MOST? Your comments are appreciated. I do have 850+ dives in Cozumel, most after Wilma (2005?) some before in the early 90s. NOT worth the money anymore. Then again, 2,500+ divers/snorkelers slathered down in sunblock and 25,000/day cruise ship tourists who get off the boat and eat tacos for lunch and use the facilities (sheesh, where do you think it all goes???). My heart pretty much broken about my fave place to dive...

I agree, Cozumel isn't what it used to be( the 1990's), but then what dive area is?? Obviously the cruise boats haven't helped any dive destination( Bonaire is an other good example).

1990s? I'm talking the last two years. I have many hours of hi-def (NOT GoPro) video from 2012-2017 that is killer good! Since then NOT. Cozumel has done it to itself. Too much sunblock, too many swim throughs, not enough "hands off" enforcement. Too many cruise ship bozos..the list goes on and on.
