Comments Dive Paradise, Carnival Cruise:Estasy July 6-9,2006 Jack and Paula Harris, Richardson, TX. Experience:500-700 dives, Vis: 80-100+ feet. Water: 80F calm. The diving was good.

We have been diving with Dive Paradise for about six years. My wife and I had not been on a cruise in about 15 years so instead of the usual, "hop a plane and run down to Cozumel" we took a cruise ( My wife wanted the cruise pampering).

I emailed Apple the owner of Dive Paradise informing her we would be in port Saturday morning. I expressed concern about diving and getting back to the boat in time for departure, as when we were in Cozumel in February there was a couple from a cruise ship that did not get back to their boat in time. Most of the dive trips leave in the morning about eight or leave for the afternoon at one. Apple said this would not be a problem. She had us an "express boat" at eleven. We ended up being the only ones on the fast boat and we still only paid what we normally do. Apple has always taken care of business.

The dive master was very compentent, professional, safety minded and able to find marine critters on every dive. He took us to Santa Rosa wall for the first dive and Tormentos reef for the second dive. We were diving by computers and the dive master allowed us the freedom to explore and to have all the bottom time we required. We were pleasently surprised by spotting an octopus and a splended toad fish free swimming on a daytime dive. While diving at Tormentos we saw many reef fish: Queens and gray angels, tangs, butterflies and a large nurse shark. The reef is improving since our trip in February of 2006.

Dive Paridise staff went out of their way to accomodate our unusal dive time request. Diving from the cruise ship is out of the ordinary, but I have always experiened outstanding service from this dive company. This trip we received great service, diving and my wife got in her pampering day at the spa on the ship.

Good communication is always a necessary requirement for a great dive vacation. Communication by email was very efficient and all of our expectations were met.
