This was our third annual trip with Dive with Martin. Consistent with our past experiences everything was perfect. Having booked in advance, our nine-diver crew was expected and all logistics were in order. On arrival in Cozumel a simple phone call confirmed the first day’s pick up at our hotel pier. Whether for early morning, afternoon or night dives the boat was always on time, and the equipment was ready. The equipment was in good order, but when one reg was breathing wet it was swapped out. Our group included a Divemaster, a Rescue Diver and new divers. Under the care of Jorge everyone enjoyed fabulous and safe dives. Whenever a couple of additional divers joined the boat Dive with Martin added a second Divemaster (Lucio and Pedro). Thirteen dives, including a night dive, were all well-briefed after consultation on our interests and preferences. While we elected to surface as a group at the first low-air, we were given the option to surface as buddy teams. The dives were excellent, with options for deep, calm wall dives to shallow well-lit reef top excursions. We could count on seeing turtles, an occasional shark, eels, rays, lobster and lots of colourful reef life. Every dive was a drift, with the variable being current speed. Some were mild, and others fast moving. The boats are clean, comfortable and well maintained. The Divemasters have decades of experience, are thorough, patient, helpful and delightful to be around. All in all, I highly recommend Dive with Martin. |

UW Photo Comments | While this particular week did not focus on UWP, and currents at times hampered a critter-search, there were good opportunities to pause for a turtle, shark, lobster, etc. The shallow reef-top dives provided lots of light and colour.. |
