Comments [None]Cozumel is crowded, nine cruise ships came in one day. On one dive when we came up from our dive you could see twenty four other dive boats. On second dive aleast two other dive groups came thu and groups became tangled, we came up with an extra diver. The authority’s have closed off most of dive areas to see if the corals are being effected by the diving, so less dive sites more divers. Still great diving , good vis. Easy dives, drifting. We went Dive with Martin because they furnace BCD’s and refs. We used them before and were very pleased. This time their equipment was in need of up keep , each reg. had leaks, not just o rings but the gauges also leaked, one dive I had only 2500 lbs because my gauge was left on after being set up and it leaked out. Weights were put into pockets instead of using belts. Small groups on the boat, only eight divers on the boats, we did back rolls off the boat, actually liked it better than trudging tru the boot with Finns on. Our dive master was Jaun Carlos, and he did a very good job of keeping our group separated from the other interloaping dive groups. At one point we came up on three divers watching a shark and ell under a coral, we all took turns looking and left. Another dive group came up and surrounded the poor thing, they were still there when we left. We saw a spotted eagle ray probably four across being pursued by another group. It’s pretty crowded I hope they open up the rest soon.

Yikes, leaky regs and you gave them 4 or 5 stars? I've traveling with all my own gear all over and I would freak if I got rental gear that leaked once, let alone everyone elses!
