Comments Traveling under covid is always an adventure, you are never sure 100% that borders close or that you get infected and are in a foreign country. I purchased all the Insurances I could find, from DAN to Tin Leg (on top of my normal insurance) to fly me back in case I get infected - not expensive ($50) for premium.
Anyway, everything was completely the opposite of the doom and gloom that I imagined - the Iberostar because of the pandemic was closed for a long time but it opened just 2-3 days before I arrived. The place was a bit empty, but it was almost 100% functioning (perhaps missing a few restaurants, still closed). I felt and I was super safe, the place is EXTREMELY clean, and the Resort checked everyone for fever (better than nothing). No covid negativity test required for Mexico, but I did it anyway since I am a health worker and did not want to bring covid to the Island. All was included, food, drinks and most of all entertaining. The artists gave us all they had even if we were fewer spectators than entertainers - some shows were incredible like Halloween!
Highly Recommended, even as a solo diver like myself.
Anyway here is a video of diving and Resort: Enjoy!
