Comments Living Underwater is a first class operation, run by Jeremy Anschel an expat from the States. It is limo service for the price of riksha. Jeremy runs six pack boat, that will pick you up and drop you off at the Hotel peer. This year it is a new boat specifically designed for diving. The boat is great, the crew is even better and the service is spectacular with fruit and snacks at the end of the dive, with parkas if your are cold and with 70-80 minutes diving with 120 cu. ft. still tanks.Jeremy will pick up your gear at the hotel night before and everything will be set up for your diving the next morning. All surface intervals are at the public beach with restaurant and restrooms available. Diving was better than last two times I've been to Cozumel. A lot of Carribian fishes but this time we saw many turtles, more toadfishes then before, lots of spotted eagle rays lots of macro. One day we went to the north for eagle ray reef , which came through at the end of the dive with school of rays. The other day we went to Punta Sur. All of that is guarantied with Jeremy, weather and divers experience permitting.
Living Under Water is one of the best dive operations on the island.
Occidental Grand Cozumel is a nice resort, all inclusive but not very loud. Service is good, rooms are clean, pool functional, food is very good and beach is good by Cozumel standards.
Resident Dive operator Dive Palancar is not very impressive. Cattle boats with no respect to photography equipment, restricted time for diving, minimal interest of dive crew and definitely no personal attention. Dive sites are chosen by being the closest to the hotel so next group can be picked up on time. Would not dive with them, unless no other choice is available.
