Comments Jeremy Anschel runs the best diving operation in Cozumel, with Divemaster David, Captain Andres and Crew Ricardo all offering the best service underwater and aboard the boat. We have dived with Living Underwater four times in the past ten years, and it always is a wonderful experience. The weather was perfect, minimal current at our southern divesites, and lots of healthy coral, sponges, and reef creatures. Lots of turtles (hawksbill and loggerhead) French angels, Queen angels, and Splendid toadfish. Pinnacles and towering reef structures offered lots of swim through opportunities at a variety of depths from 100’ to 60’. A typical first dive was 80 feet for 80 minutes using a steel 120 tank, surface interval at Playa Palancar, a full service restaurant on a nice beach, with a typical second dive about 60 feet for 80 minutes. David led our dives for four days and found a tiny pipe horse hiding in seaweed on the sand, and several toadfish in their hiding spots. Jeremy led our dives for two days, and found pike blennies, pipe horse, toadfish, a large octopus hiding under the reef, as well as a few small lion fish. Lots of moray eels, from large green to small spotted. Large grouper, barracuda, schooling snapper and French grunts, trunkfish, scrawled filefish. We enjoyed six beautiful days of diving. Our lodging was the Park Royal Cozumel, all-inclusive resort, which was clean, quiet, with great dining options, Italian, Mexican, Caribbean. Jeremy collected our gear on our arrival day, and we never had to touch it unless we were diving. Ricardo, Andres and the DM would make sure our gear was ready to go. Each morning at 8 am, the diveboat Jewfish would arrive at our dock, and we would be delivered around 2 pm after our diving day was finished. Our group of three enjoyed the company of other advanced divers, all of whom were repeat customers of Living Underwater. Simply put, it does not get better than this.
