Comments Good morning, We just got back from Mexico last night.
I am requesting a refund for two days of diving, accommodations and meals. We left two days early for the following reasons.
1. The wind was blowing the hole time which effected the diving.
2. The diving on the south reef was good but we were informed that to go back there (5 minute boat ride) it would cost an additional $40 dollars.
As soon as new divers showed up it was right back to the reef in front of the resort (sand low viz and so on).
3. The reef in front of the resort was full of sand, low visibility and we didn't want to dive it after the first 4 dives. There was nothing else to see.
4. The food was bad, I never want to see scrambled eggs and a tortilla again. We did manage to get hot cake a few times, after asking for bacon or ham of some type of meat we finely got two strips of bacon with the eggs for breakfast. Lunch consisted of more tortillas with a slice of cheese in them, dinner wasn't much better. We had one pork dinner that was up to standards. We were consistently told that to get supply's was a two hour drive and that's the excuse for poor food. The cook quit while we we there because they didn't want to pay him. I find it disturbing that we could get in the car drive 6k on the beach road and get anything we wanted to eat including excellent rib eye steak, pasta, pizza, fresh fish and so on. We went to town several nights for dinner and survived on snacks that we purchased in town. One night we had fish at the resort for dinner, it was not fresh, over cooked and made my wife ill. Our Mexican friend (Juan) said he would not serve the food to guests, and he is easy to please.
The club house was never open, as soon as we were done with the meal everyone disappeared, the place was locked and that was it. You couldn't go in and watch TV or anything.
I realize that it requires a lot of work and money to operate but I have been in resorts all around the world in extremely primitive areas and had much better service.
I am requesting a refund for:
1. Two days of diving
2. Two days of lodging and meals for two (wife and self).
I sincerely hope you respond to this email in a positive way and in a timely manner. I hope to hear from you asap.
Thank You
Milann Reynolds
