Comments We have been diving in Cozumel several times. Previously our experiences with Sand Dollar Sports had been great. In fact my wife and I had grown quite fond of a couple of the divemasters there, Julio in particular is a fabulous DM. Gerry is also very good. This trip turned out to be less than desirable. It started off with the Reef Club not having our reservation when we arrived. This also happen when we stayed with them six months prior. At that time we were assured this was not a common occurrence, but we later have discovered it is quite common there. We were moved from room to room 3 times in a six day stay. Not able to unpack and settle in, living out of a suitcase as a diver was not much fun to say the least. Food was mediocre; service with minor exceptions was RUDE, abrasive and inflexible. Diving was a disappointment as well. The dive shop now caters primarily as their first priority to cruise ships. What was once a very personalized & intimate operation, has now become a 'cattle car ' shop at best. Some of the DM's were down right rude ! I managed to get one of them fired. But he could care less. Amazing, since our tips and tourist dollars are a significant part of their revenue. My wife & I will be diving in Cozumel this December. After thorough research for a new operation,we will be diving with LIQUID BLUE DIVERS. We believe it will be wonderful. We will stay at Casa Mexicana. No more ' all inclusives ' for us.
