Comments This was dive destination #2 of 4 dive destinations from the Carnival Legend.Because the dive was arranged through the cruise ship, there were time restrictions. We were picked up from the cruise ship dock, and taken to their shop for equipment. We had e-mailed ahead to ensure one of us had 63 tanks. The dive operation was very friendly and helpful, and did a thorough briefing. There was a videographer along for those who wanted a memento of their dive.. The 2 dive sites we did were Santa Rosa-83', and San Clemente-44'. Both were drift dives. The first dive site had prolific life: Angels, jacks, file fish, triggers, blk. durgons- all the usual Caribbean suspects. There were also a couple of cool swim thrus at 80'. Our SI was spent at the dive shop viewing a video of our dive. We were told to buy what we wanted now, as we wouldn't be returning to the shop (but we did- to haul equipment back after the dive). There was a little more current on the second site, which was also vibrant with fishes, and yellow and purple sponges. The sandy dune areas reminded us of Gr. Turk. There were schools of cotton wicks which we don't often see where we dive. These were both easy dives, though the inexperienced majority on the boat thought the currents were "ripping". There never was a roll-call taken, but the divemasters constantly were doing a visible head count in and out of the water. There were no snacks provided, only water. The excursion lasted about 5 hrs. We really liked the diving here, and will return to Cozumel again, perhaps to dive with the dive op. independently.
