Comments I have been diving in Cozumel many times over the past 20 years, but this was a unique opportunity. My wife and I took our first cruise (on Carnival)in March 2010. We had a one day stop in Cozumel and I did not want to miss an opportunity to dive. Arrangements to dive were made on the ship with Sand Dollar Sports. I was give equipment except for my mask (prescription) and regulator. I was told that I would be given a wet suit, but I never received one. About 10 people met on the dock to review health forms and sign wavers. The ability level of the 10 divers varied greatly, with one diver just receiving his C-card and other divers having hundreds of logged dives. The dive boat was more than adequate for 10 divers. The first dive was on Santa Rosa Wall and the second dive was at San Clemente. Maximum depth on the first dive was 78 feet with very good visibility. Over the two dives we say a sting ray, a green eel, grouper, queen angels, French angels, grunts, a turtle, and many schooling fish. Overall, it was a good day of diving. The only negative was having only two dives, which left me wishing for more.
