Comments We have been diving in Cancun for many years on family vacations. This year we dove a great reef in Cancun, but also dove in Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen and finished up the trip in Cozumel.Scorpio Divers owners Ben and Jorge run a wonderful operation and offer interesting alternatives to the predictable Cancun reef dives.Their youthful enthusiasm and passion for diving are contagious and make for an enjoyable time above and below the water.

Puerto Morelos features the Juan Escutia wreck full of fish life with good coral color.Playa del Carmen is the winter home of bull sharks and we were lucky enough to spend a splendid dive with 8 of them gracefully circling our small group. What a thrill! The Mama Vina wreck, an intentionally sunk shrimper, is a small but interesting wreck also located in Playa.

Scorpio divers provided comfortable transportation to all dive sites. We planned our Playa dives for the last day of our stay in the Cancun area and loaded the van with our luggage. After our dives we were dropped off at the pier to catch the ferry to Cozumel.

The combination of Mexican Yucutan and Cozumel diving made for an extremely enjoyable trip.
