Good - My first time in Cozumel. Reefs appeared to be in good to great condition. Compared to other areas I've dived the sea life was larger especially lobsters, crabs and angel fish. Saw the biggest crab and lobster I've ever seen. Dive master Manuel was especially good at finding hidden and small creatures. All dives were drift dives. Only 8 divers on our boat even at a time when several large groups packed the other boats. Scuba Club rooms are comfortable and the food is superb. Drink prices are very reasonable. Full service dive shop across the street and on site. Grab bag - The currents. Kind of fun at times as long as you weren't trying to photograph anything. A little unsettling for some divers not used to them and definitely not for most beginners. On the other hand, we had some dives with no current at all. Didn't know what you were going to get until you were in the water. Bad - Long boat rides down to the Palancar Reef area where most first dives took place. |
