Comments This was my second visit to Scuba Club Cozumel, and they continue to run an excellent hotel and dive operation. The rooms are simple--no TV or phones, but clean, modern, quiet, and roomy. Most have a great ocean view. The staff is genuinely eager to please. SCC is all inclusive, and the food service is excellent, and they even held our evening meal for us when we came back late after a spectacular night dive. The grounds are immaculate, and secured by a 24 hr guard.
Dive operations are very good. Shore diving is fair, marred by a relatively featureless rubble ground, punctuated by man made objects placed to attract reef fish. Cozumel's famous current is present most of the time. The dive boats are well shaded, roomy, O2 equipped and punctual. SCC offers excellent twilight and night dives, and a dive to the local wreck, on a demand basis. Nitrox is available. The divemasters are good at grouping divers of similar skill, and within the limits of drift diving, one can dive one's own profile. Scuba Club Cozumel ranks high on my list of the island's resorts, and from the number of other repeat customers we ran into, it ranks with others too.
