Comments Perhaps we've travelled to Cozumel too many times, but there are reasons. It was a joke years ago to search for our Moby Dick. At the end of my favorite dive, Cedral Wall, we'd find a loggerhead turtle on at least one dive a trip. After about 6 years, this magnificent creature was gone. We saw 2 about 4 years ago at Yucab. This trip he appeared. In front of us were the charcoal eyes, the barnacle encrusted shell and the enormous neck. Unfortunately, it was timid and didn't remain for us to watch for any length of time. Being summer, the eagle rays are gone; but no, at Yucab one slept on the bottom as we did our safety stop. There were few drum fish, but I found so many juvenile French angelfish. As a macro-photographer, these are a challenge. There were few grouper, but so many large snappers. The giant crabs and lobsters are in abundance. There were plenty of nurse shark sleeping under ledges. We encountered an 11 foot beauty on the Cedral Wall dive. It went between our legs frantically searching for food. We watched as it uprooted a coral head looking for a lobster. He was quite wide so I imagine he very often finds his prey. Jorge had our original fast boat re-furbished for our visit. Our granddaughters, 11 and 13, had Mario for their guide. He is attentive. Needless to say, the currents gave them a beneficial challenge. Again, I can't say enough about Victor and his cleaning service. It's so nice to have our gear meticulously cleaned and ready for us each morning. He takes such pride. It is always a professional and courteous staff.

UW Photo Comments There is a rinse tank at El Cantil. There are no facilities on the fast boat for the camera, but great care is taken to protect it. The dive sites aren't far.
