Comments Having been to Cozumel more than half a dozen times since 2003, I was in the position to try out a new dive operation since I was staying North of town for the first time (all prior trips had been with Dive House at the Fiesta Americana, and I have nothing but great things to say about Dive House). As my girlfriend was a relatively new(er) diver, I wanted to try a "small boat" operation that dealt with smaller groups. Based on the overwhelming amount of positive reviews they had received, I decided to give Scuba Tony a try. I was very impressed with their operation. They were very prompt and responsive during our email communications prior to our arrival. Their pricing was fair and competitive. They specialize in small groups. We never had more than 5 or 6 divers on the boat during our dives with them. During several dives, we were the only divers and we were treated with the same graciousness and enthusiasm as if the boat was full. The dives were not rushed and second dives usually lasted an hour or more. Surface intervals were almost always taken at the closest beach, which was nice. Cookies, water, and fruit were also offered during the breaks. The rental equipment that I saw appeared to be in good working order, and tank fills were always on point. We dove with Luis, Ariel, and Liz,and they were all wonderful. Liz even surprised me with a great dive site (Cedral Mountains) that I have never heard of in 11 years of previous diving in Cozumel. They generally leave a half hour before the other dive operations, so prepare for that. If you're staying in downtown or south, they can pick you up. However, if you stay North like we did, you have to meet them in Caleta harbor. We rented a scooter and made the drive each morning. Took about 20 minutes. The rides were actually kind of fun most mornings, but there are times where you want to wake up, take your time eating breakfast, and just get on the boat without a commute. If you're staying North of town, just keep the commuting issue in mind. With that being said, Scuba Tony is a great outfit and I would dive with them again.
