Comments Did a wreck and reef dive with the Solo Boceo (diving only)operation who are located at the Dreams Resort Hotel on Punta Cancun (Coco Bongo bus stop and then 1/4 mile walk). The operation was professionally run with several different trips (beginners through experienced) and several smaller canopy boats (that did not appear to cater to "serious" photographers. The guides on our trip (Manual and Phillipe) were attentive, informative and helpful. The 80 ft wreck dive (C58?) was enjoyable with bow to stern visiblity+. Fish populations on the wreck were excellent, with wide varieties and densities of 5-10 pound school fish (bonita, etc) both inside and outside the upper decks and a "squadron" of 8-10 large barracuda hovering in formation just off the port bow. Guides led a minor upper deck pentetration through the wreck. On ascent, we were required to hang for 10 minutes at 10 ft which was a challenge since the current was running at 7 knots. Hanging on the buoy line requuired alot of strength. I felt like a flag in a gale wind, one diver had to wrap both his arms and his legs around the line to stay on and everybodys masks and regulators seemed at risk of being washed away from our faces. This environment could be a bit stressful for an inexperienced diver. 2nd dive on a reef was also very enjoyable again with strong currents. However since this was a drift dive we just went with the flow so it was relatively effortless. Again marine life was very good and reef appeared healthy and equivilant to some dives sites I've been on at Cozumel. Philipe shot videos of us and the environment on both dives which were excellent quality and ready for purchase on DVD($50)10 minutes after we arrived back at the dock. Overall, an excellent experience, primarily for site seeing divers with a well run outfit. I would use them again.

UW Photo Comments Not great for heavily laden photographers. I just had a simple camera with flash in a housing. Relatively small boat with canopy top. No fresh water rinse station or tables. A diving sightseers boat not a phtographers boat.
